DOWNTOWN DEVELOPMENT: Rossford’s downtown is the heart of our community — a place where small businesses thrive, neighbors gather, and local pride shines. Over the past several years, we’ve seen significant momentum and investment in this vital area.
Millions of dollars have been invested in our local business district, including infrastructure improvements funded partially funded by grants saving taxpayer dollars. These upgrades are designed not just to improve traffic flow, but to make our downtown safer, more welcoming, and more attractive for continued growth.
We’re also seeing exciting expansion at The Crossroads, where several key businesses continue to grow, bringing jobs and energy to the region. And with the upcoming addition of a new pocket park near multiple transit stops, we’re creating more inviting, accessible spaces that support both walkability and economic activity.
As we plan for the future, I remain committed to thoughtful, people-focused development that supports our small businesses, honors our local character, and keeps Rossford moving forward — together.
PARKS: Rossford’s parks are vital spaces for connection, play, and wellness — and I’m proud of the progress we’ve made to ensure they serve the needs of every resident.
In recent years, the City has upgraded the boat launch, added a new multi-use facility with a wash-off station and concession stand, installed accessible play equipment, and is replacing a major play structure at Beech Street Park. We’ve also added public pickleball courts and expanded inclusive play opportunities.
As Chair of the Facilities, Parks, and Marina Committee, I’ve worked to build on this momentum by proposing a full assessment of the City’s Tot-Lots to develop a replacement and repair schedule and explore strategies to increase their use.
In addition, Rossford is creating a new pocket park using TARTA Lite funds, which are designated for projects that enhance access to public transit and community walkability. This space will provide outdoor seating and green space near several transit stops, improving both livability and connectivity for residents and visitors.
By continuing to invest in our parks and public spaces, we’re strengthening community, promoting wellness, and building a more accessible, vibrant Rossford for all.
COMMUNITY COLLABORATION: As Rossford continues to grow and evolve, it’s more important than ever that our local government stays closely connected to the people it serves. A strong community is built on open dialogue, mutual respect, and shared ownership of the decisions that shape our future.
That’s why I’m committed to strengthening community collaboration through a people-centered feedback model — one that invites residents to engage meaningfully with their city. Whether it’s through regular events like Quarterly Community Conversations, partnerships with local organizations, or creative ways to gather public input, I believe in keeping the voices of our residents at the heart of city government.
Rossford is a close-knit community, and every individual should feel welcomed, heard, and empowered to contribute to its civic, economic, and social life. Together, we can ensure Rossford remains a place where connection and collaboration are more than values — they’re how we lead.
